PRIEST WITH AUTOMATIC PISTOL FINED TREBLE DUTY. 1 Pres« Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, September 12. (Received September 13, at noon.) A Catholic priest named Martin' Seheutl, who landed at Plymouth from New York, was fined treble duty (£23) for illegally importing an automatic pistol and 100 rounds of ammunition, which were eonccalejd in his tobacco and cigars, in a specially-constructed cushion, the bottom of a handbag, and in his clothing.—A. and N.Z. and ‘Sun’ Cable.
