SOCCER
AUSTRALIAN SCHOOLBOYS' MATCH Tho visit of the Australian schoolboys’ team to Dunedin will give spectators an opportunity of seeing the local boys iu action against a. finished combination of players. Northern writers have described the Australians as a particularly fine side, whoso play _is equal to that of any representative team that has so far visited New Zealand. The Otago boys in the . past have always held their own when pitted against other provinces, and supporters feel sure they will acquit themselves creditably against tho admittedly strong side which they will meet on Wednesday. The match is timed to start at 3 o’clock. F.A. FINAL. On Saturday the final match of tho F.A. trophy series will be staged at Carisbrook, when Otago will play Canterbury. Canterbury is fielding a strong team, and a win to Canterbury will probably give that province possession of the cup for the season. Tho Otago team-will bo an improvement on that which represented tho province against Auckland.
