The Male Choir will give the second concert of the current season in His Majesty’s Theatre on Wednesday, evening, when a programme consisting ol vocal ami instrumental . solos, ducts, and the items by the choir will he presented for the approval of the society’s jnanv patrons. The new part songs will‘ he Edward Grieg’s ‘ Recognition of Land,’ in which the baritone will bo taken by Air F. H. AVilliams. The ‘ Bailors’ Chorus,’ from Wagner’s ‘ Tlio Flying Dutchman,’ and Baynon’s ‘ Como, Gentle Night,’ arc also new to subscribers, and both should please, the former because of its rollicking and descriptive nature, and the latter because of its tunefulness and restful sentiment. The other part songs are ‘ The Bandit,’ from Verdi’s ‘ Ernaui,' ‘Salutation,’ ‘Hymn ot Faith’ (in which the soprano solo will ho taken by Aliss Alsda Raino), ‘The Image of a Rose’ (solo by Air Les Dailey), and ‘The Little Admiral,’ from Stanford’s ‘Songs of tho Fleet’ (solo by Mr JD.
