SMOKE CONCERT

There was a largo attendance of members and friends of the ZingariRichmond Football Club at the annual smoke concert held on Saturday evening in Kroon’s Hall. A number of representatives from the visiting North Otago team were also present. The president of the club (Air W. Brown) occupied the chair. After tho loyal toast had been honored, a lengthy toast list was gone through, and a very enjoyable programme of musical and elocutionary items was given. The following contributed: — Messrs Hall, W. Duff, Ullen, and Jeffs (songs), Air Mathieson (cornet solo), and Mr Russell (recitations) During the evening the chairman presented Richardson, a member of the Zingari second fifteen, with a club cap for his meritorious performance during the past season. Air Brown congratulated Richardson on having been selected for the Otago junior fifteen to play Canterbury.
