EXCITING CHASE

JOYRIDERS RUN TO EARTH [Per United Press Association ] AUCKLAND, September 12. After nn exciting motor chnso from Newmarket to Onehunga two youthful joy riders in a small ear were arrested hiding under a church. At 10 o’clock on Saturday night a car owned by Mr Wylde Browne, ot Romucra, disappeared from the city. Later it was identified by its number bv two constables, who enlisted the assistance of a passing motor car and gave chase. The fugitives, observing the car m pursuit, traverse! several bock streets, suddenly doused their ligats, but were located, and then rushed from the car afoot with the two constables close up. They wore caught alter they, had scaled a church gate, and they surrendered without resistance.
