COMPETITIONS SOCIETY

The Dunedin society’s 26ih annual festival will commence on Tuesday, September 20, and will continue morning, afternoon, and evening until October 8. Sessions will bo held during the morning and afternoon in the Burns Hall, Victoria Flail, and His Majesty’s Theatre. A. record entry has been received this year, and very interesting programmes* have_ been arranged for each evening session. There will he twe impromptu speech nights, two ballet evenings, and two Saturday nights will bo devoted to the delightful children’s and, altogether, the festival promises to be a most interesting one throughout, and some very keen competition is expected. The box plan will open on Wednesday, as advertised. Season tickets will admit two t'o all the competitions.
