2,000 OFFERS OF MARRIAGE. NEW YORK, August 28. Now that the secretaries of Charles ■Lindbergh,- the hero of the lone Atlantic flight, have completed sorting the aviator’s huge mail, it is announced that he received 3,500,000 letters, 100.000 telegrams, 14,000 packages, 2.000 proposals of marriage. Lindbergh also received an offer of £200,000 to go through a real marriage ceremony in front of a movie camera, and business offers totalling £1,200,000. Return postage cost _ £2,000. Lindbergh replied to many in longhand.
