In connection with the interim award in regard to the National Telephone Company arbitration case, the Chancellor of the Exchequer has issued four million 3 per cents, at 934, redeemable in 18 years. No specific sinking fund is provided. The, banks have taken £3,500,000, and the market will absorb the balance. [A special Court of Arbitrators has been engaged hearing the- claim of the National Telephone Company for £20,000,000 as the purchase price of* the company's undertaking, which was recently transferred to the Post Office.]
