July 19, at 12.20 p.m.) The fishery protection cruiser arrested an American launch for a breach of the fishery laws. The Americans refused to surrender. The men on the cruiser wed their rifles, and finally rammed and sank the launch. I'hey rescsed the crew. The launch was fishing within the three-mile limit oft' Vancouver Island.
