ROAD RACES. Presi Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. MELBOURNE, July 19. (Received July 19, at noon.) The Bydney-Goulbuni Road Race baa been fixed for September 14, and the Warrnambool-Melbourne race for September 28. Cabled from Melbourne that the Victorian Racing Club paid in stakes during the past season £69,275. BOWLING. The following are the office-bearers of the Outram Bowling Club for the ensuing season: —President, Mr H. J. Strong; vice-president, Mr R. G. Scott; hon. secretary. Mr W. T. Snow; hon. treasurer, Mr D. M'Lean; three members to the Competition Executive—Messrs J. Buchanan, H. Laing, and A. Walker; hon. auditor, Mr F. G. Hartley; sole selector. Mr F. M. Wright; delegates to the N.Z.8.A., Messi* Alexander Gillie® and W. T. Snow. HOCKEY. The Match Committee have decided that if present weather conditions continue senior matches will be played to-moirow. Should rain fall in the interval it may bo necessary to reverse this decision, in which case a notice will be posted at the Spovta Depot. Junior matches are postponed. A London cablegram advises that th« New South Wales bowlers defeated For farehire, 73-64.
