DENTAL ASSOCIATION.

DEPUTATION TO THE MINISTER [Pke United Pkess Association.] WELLINGTON, July 19. A deputation from the Dental Conference- waited on the Hon. R. H. Rhodes, Minister of Public Health, to-day and aeked that the medical men appointed by the Government to examine the school children should take a course at Otago University, to equip them for the examination of children's teeth and the making of a statistical record of the same. They also aeked for the support of the Minister in carrying on research work among the Maoris. Mr Rhodes promised to refer the matters to hie colleagues. He was surprised to hear what the deputation had to eay as to the prevalence of dental oaries. As to research work among the Natives, he would certainly give the ateociation his moral support, and if that body wanted anything further they ehould eeo him again.
