TWO FATALITIES. [Pub United Press Association.] MASTERTON, July 18., Two men were drowned in the floods in different parts of the Lower Wairarapa on Tuesday. One, named Broderson, lost his life* while crossing Abbott's Creek on horseback; and another, named Fletcher, was drowned at Pahia while crossing a swollen stream. Broderson's body was recovered to-day. CARTERTON, July 19. The body of the man Frank Fletcher, who was drowned at Elgar's station, has not yet been recovered. The property is submerged to a depth of Bft, and no boat is procurable, Deceased was aged 30, and was a native of Cambridge, in the Waikato. He had been married only 13 months.
