A Rugby League team comprising 22 mon will sail from Sydney for New Zealand on August 17, and play a series of matches, the first taking place at Auckland on August 24. The New Zealand footballers who have been playing in Sydney and Brisbane sailed for" Auckland'by the Wimmera yesterday. SOCCER. Wanganui defeated Poverty Bay by 2 goals to nil at Wanganui yesterday. The game was played in a gale of wind.
