BUILDERS' ASSOCIATION.

The Dunedin Builders' Association held their annua! meeting last evening. Mr J. Lind-ay presiding-. The annual report was adopted. There are 72 members in the association. The report respecting building prospect's in Dunedin stated that the City os progressing; very considerably. At the present time buildhicr operations in the City and suburbs in the hands of members of the association amounted to about £400,000, which fact was a fair index of the prosperity and confidence of the people of Dunedin. Tho Chairman thanked the members for the support, accorded him during the year, and hoped that the same support would be= given to his successor. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows :—President, Mr Gabriel Hodges: vice-presidents. Messrs Y. Wilkinson and A. Dempster; secretary, Mr Jas. Knox; treasurer, Mr A. M'Domra.ll: committee—Messrs J. T.irulsny, C. Thomson, J. M'Corrmck, W. Farqubarson. J. Rob'on, A. Ferrv, J. Fiodsrers : auditor^— Messrs C. W. Wilkinson and R. Crawford; delegate to the Employers' Association, Mr G. Clark. Mr Hodges returned thanks for the honor of being elected president for a sec-md term, and said that, as the annual conference of New Zealand builders would be held in Dunedin this year, he hoped to have the support necessary to make, these meetings a success. The retiring secretary (Mr IF. Wdkinsnnl thanked ihe members for the. help extended to him during the past seven years, and trusted that the same support would ba accorded Mr J. Knox. The other officers returned thanks for the honor conferred upon th"m, and a vote of thanks to the retiring officers concluded the proceedings.
