The thirteenth annual meeting of this Association was held at Green Island ta-day. Our despatches, containing full particulars of the day's shooting, have come to hand too Jate for publication in det il. The following are the winners in tho
First Match.—2oo, 509,600 yards; seven shots at each range; 200 yds standing, other ranges any position; "Wimbledon (1878) targets and scoring,—First prize, presented by Mr J. Hislop, shield and vase, value LlO 10s; second do, by Mr' H. H. Haydon, cake basket, L 4 4s; third do, by Messrs Oliver and TJlph, electro hotwater jug, L2los j fourth do, by Meßsrs Brown, Ewing, and Co., opera glass, L2 2s ; fifth do, by Mr J.Walls, cruet, L2; sixth do, by Messrs Burton Bros., twelve views, LI 10s.
A pigeon has just (4.40 j>.m.) arrived from Green Island with the following message:—" It is doubtful whether the second match will be completed tonight. It is now 4.10 p.m., and a dozen men have yet to fire at the fii st range. Lieut. Grant, W.T., will probably take the range prize with 24.
