Mr Henry Driver (on behalf of the N.Z.L. and M.A. Co.) reports for the week ending November 20,1876, as follows Wool.—By cable dated 21st October, from our London office, we are advised compel ion for wool decreasing; rates, V<l to Id lower. Tne recovery of prices to February rates appears to have been too rapid to bo maintained firmly, hence the slight decline. At the present decline growers may look forward to Satisfactory prices in this market. No business in this market to note. Parcels of tho new cliii are daily arriving, an I are showing l.ne condition and superior growth. sheepsaius. —Ac our weekly auction this afternoon we catalogued 2,000 skins, which were briskly competed for, realising lully the advance wc quoted last week. Dry cross-breds brought 4s 61 to os Id ; merinos, 3s Id to 4s 7d ; pelts, 2d to 3d each. Hides continue dud. Green butchers’ sold at 18s; wet salted, 3d to 3J 1 per lb. Tallow in brisk demand. Medium sold at L2B to LSI. Grain.—Wheat and flour are unchanged; prices firm. Oats a;e slightly advanced; ordinaly feed, 2s 2d; superior, 2s 3d to 2s 4d for milling. Barley for feeding and grinding in improved demand at 2s 3d to 3s; malting dull.
