November 80.—Taioroa, s.s., 228 tons, Peterson, from Timaru, Passengers: Mesdames Leckie and family, Cramond ; Misses Leeckie (two), Robins; Messrs Leckie, Stone, Poster; and four in the steerage. Express, s.s., 136 tons, Christian, from the Bluff. Passengers: Mr and Mrs Merrick, servant, and two chudren;> Messrs Hickson, Price, Frew, Campbell • and one in the steerage. ’ SAILED. November 29.—Frederick Hartwig, barque, 331 tons, Walters, for Levuka, Shag, s.s., 31 tons, Wing, for Shag Point. Anna, ketch, 24 tons. Stout, for the Coast. Samson, p, s., 124 tons, Jones, for Oamaru. The ship White Engle, having been cleaned and re-painted, was taken out of the graving dock early tins morning and anchored in the stream. The s.s. Waitaki arrived from Oamaru yesterday afternoon. After lauding her passengers at the railway pier she steamed alongside the ship Mataura to discharge wool. The schooner Mary Ellen, from Oamaru, and ketch Grace, from Waikouaiti, arrived yesterday afternoon. J The barque Frederick Hartwig, with sheep for Fiji, sailed yesterday afternoon. She was towed to sea by the p.s. Iron Age. The s.s. Taiaroa airived early this morning from Timaru aud steamed alongside the ship Invercargill to discharge fifty-two bales of wool. She left Timaru at 7 p.m. yesterday, and experienced light N.E. winds along the coast to arrival. The s.s. Express arrived at 11 this morning with passengers and cargo from Riverton, via the Bluff. She left the Bluff at 7 p.m. yesterday ; experienced light N. winds, with very thick weather along the coast. ’ Shipping Telegram. Napieb, November 29,-Owiug to the state of the bar the Southern Cross was detained until to-day Her cargo consists of sixty fat cattle, consigned to Maclean Bros. The shipment is a speculation of Messrs Cclemnu and Hardy. Bluff, November 30.—Arrived ; The Albion. ?rl at 2 P-*»- ou the 3rd, and Hobart Town , t 7,b0 p.m. on the 25th, aud arrived at the Bluff this morning. Experienced head winds and thick weather. She brings fifty-four saloon and Bix.y-one steerage passengers, besides 287 tons of cargo and five race-horses.
