THE HARBOR BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Board was held this day; present-the Mayor (in th& chair) Messrs M'Kinnen, Beid, Ritchie,. Tewsley, and Gillies (secretary). VIWWIW '» ACCOUNTS. Several accounts were passed for navment amounting to L 5.261; which included 1*2,297, progress payment on the new dredge, and L 1,449 for plant from Horne. TENDERS. Tenders were opened for repairing the decking of the Kattray street jetty and were referred to the Engineer, th-e Works Committee to have power to accept a tender. DEEPENING THE HARBO». The committee'appointed to confer with the Engineer respecting the deepening of the channel, brought up a verbal report and laid plans and specifications on the table Ifc was resolved that tenders be called for,' to be furnished not later than the 20th prox. The specifications can be seen on and after Saturday next. SPECIAL MEETING. A special meeting of the Board will be held on Friday next, at 12.30, to adopt thh & b specifications for tb -e deepening erf
