EVOLUTION.
To the Editor* Sir,—ln reference to the letter of your correspondent " Huttonian,'-' I would simply say that I am quite well aware of the fact that many, if not the majority, of Evolutionists acknowledge design; but I must inform "Huttonian*' that the acknowledement of design is no part of Darwinism Darwin distinctly denies that there is anv design on the part of God in nature ; and it is a we]l-known fact that it is this denial of design which has led so many believers'in - Evolution to differ from Mm, so that Huttonian s" own letter only confirms what he seems so proud to deny—via « That the evidences of design are 4© very death-blow of Darwinism."
