Sir,—l hear with regret that the late prime minister of His Holiness the Pope, the famous Cardinal Arifconelli, has left a fortune amounting to some twenty millions, &c, whilst we have the Holy Father imprisoned, sleeping upon straw; let alone the misery and starvation prevalent amongst thoussiirt« of the inhabitants of Rome ! fSZ' WW n * Uch Estate of things could not exist. Perhaps you or sonwlf your many readers can inform me why the late Cardinal, being the possessor of such immense wealth, Buffered lis master and vicar of the lowly Nazarene to live in such utter destitution, and thereby oblige ~.
