The Secretary read a fetter sentr to Canterbury Association, in which it- was -stated that the Otago Association does -not consider it expedient to Bend a representative to the Conference, to be held nt lihetbn in 1877. Mr Mtefceriad' laid table copies of “Beport of MmistCr of Vacation, Victoria,” and “Regulationsunder Education Act,” The business pf the morning was a paper by Mr, W., giving a review of the pastj transactions of the ;Association. The paper exhibited atilength-the character and extent of the work of the Association during a period bf : >twelve Members eamrcssed themselves’ as indebted to Mr Milne for his rvmmt of, the .History of the society. : Maiiy were hot„aware that, so ihuch had /been accomplished; some who had conceived wAt re organisation was heedied ,urtre disposed toconsider that it was, perhaps, only necessary to continue in a similar course; The - pap* was esteemed 'of historical value and should not be’allowed to pass out of notice, it was, therefore; agreed that the association khould publish it in pamphlet, fpm.
