; A special meeting of the ! Boal-d was held at nOon stance .of the hon. the Customs, for the purpose of cons&e|a'ff||&i,' advisability of withdrawing from salo feectiona 1, 2, 3, 9 10, 11, 15, 19, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 83, 85, 86, and 41, block 9, Gleukenich district. Mr A. C. Strode Was in the chair, and all the members were present. The Chairman having explained the ensued, in the coarse of which Mr BhID moved that the sections above mentioned be withdrawn from sale. This was seconded byMrCLARK.—MrBASTIN(«hmoved*-ae.an. amendment, “That thfcwh.de of the block which comprises. about 7,400 acres,, should I be ■ withdrawn/? The amendment was J seconded by Mr Butterworth. TheCßAlßtti&fl -thought' that as ike sale was*! fixed to .take plaice on the' 7th inst. considerable inconvenience’ would result if the whole of the land .were now and; accordingly gave his c&sti-ig vote in favor Of the which was therefore carried.. It .was thendecided, r on the motion of Mr Beid,- that ‘the land withdrawn should be open ■for application on December 26. It was also resolved that about * 1,974' acres In the Bock *audrTillarf district should be open for-application on' Tuesday, December 5. --v The Board then adjourned. u , .
