The ‘ Cromwell Argus' adds that one of his fellow-disciples is also reported as seriously ill. The largest snake ever known to have been Seen in Australia was lately killed on the Richmond River, in the north of New South Wales. It was a carpet snake, and measured 17ft in length. When opened it was found to contain the remains of three ducks. It was sent to the museum in Sydney.
