Two matches were played on the Oval on Saturday. The prender Clnbhnda scratch match between sides chosen by the secretary and president, the latter's being victorious by seven wickets aud four runs. The largest scores were made on the secretary's Bide byGlen 17, Tait 19, and Brown 10: on the president's side by Eingsford 51, M'Donneli 15, and Qodby 11. The Citizens met eleven members of the Naval Brigade, whom they vanquished by 22 tuns. For the Citizens the brothers Stokes contributed 10 apiece, and Haskell 18; for the Brigade Growden made 18, being the only one %n ttfttV Bide who got iuto double figures.—At Montecillo, the Carißbwok'e played thirteen of the University Club
and beat them easily. Of the Cameron made 18, and the «xtras wen 14; Star Carißbrook, Fulton mode 84 and Niven IS.. TW w St. Matthews's choristers played a one-lnamga match amongst themselves, and afterward* a >■ scratch match against the Carisbrook junior the matoh proper having been, postponed tfll 'next Saturday.
