Wyndhurst v. Robins.—Claim for L 6 6s —» goods supplied. Mr Howorth appeared for the plaintiff, for whom judgment was given with costs. Edmond, Forsyth, and M‘Neil y. Josiah Mitch eson. Claim LSB 9s 6d, amount of dishonored bill and goods supplied. Mr Brent appeared for plaintiff, for whom judgment was given with costs. Judgment went for plaintiffs by default m the following cases with costs Ayers and Edwards v. West, LlO 12s on a promissory note; Brown and Jones (trustees in the estate of Oscar Louis) v. Fiannagan, L 32 3s, dishonored bill; Mitchell v. Donovan, L 5 10s, work done; same v. Peter Heads, L 8; Higginson v. William Mellor, L 7 13s lOd, goods supplied; Smith y. Bowers. LlO rent. David Docherty v. John Paisley.—Claim L6O, for the wrongful conversion ,of a bay horse and horse, and L 9 balance of wages due. Mr Denniston appeared for plaintiff Mr Bathgate for defendant.—The plaintiff’s case was that on April 3 last he entered defendant’s service to work a couple of horses at the rate of 25s per week. On May 10 defendant mentioned that he was going to sell one horse, and plaintiff agreed to purchase it for LSO—L26 being paid in cash, and the balance to be obtained on demand. On October 11, when plaintiff was due L3O odd for wages he claimed the horse, but defendant refused to give it up, and sent it upcountry in waggon.—His Worship gave judgment on the first item for L 53, to be reduced to L 3 should the horse be returned within a week; and for L 3 10s on the second.
