HOUSE SHOW.

The fourteenth annual parade of thoroughbred and draught entire horses took place at noon to-day and attracted a large crowd of spectators. Owing to there being no passage through the present Princess's Theatre the horses were paraded through Messrs Wright, Stephenson's yard, up High street, down Clark street, and thiough part of Maclaggan Btreet. The number of entries was between thirty and forty, and these comprised some magnificent animals. The most admired was Mr G. Dodson's thoroughbred bay horse Cassivelaunus, son of the English Derby winner, Caractacus. This noble horse was in grand condition, and looked as if made of bronze. The Victorian-bred youngster Plying Fish and Young Peer looked well, andHarkaway, Shales, and a grey named Buzzard also put in an appearance. Of the draught horses, the three-year-old Sir Koberfc Napier, Young Champion, and Young Hero attracted most attention from their great power- and quality. The last-named is a chesnut with an immensely thick and long mane. There were two fine blacks—Heather Ben and Othello, the latter in especially good condition. Among the more noticeable of the rest were Young Marquis, Sir " Roger Tichborue, Southern Chief, Duke of Argyle, and the grey Sir William Wallace. At the conclusion of the show, Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. held their usual *ale.
