A description of her, together with an account in detail of all her internal arrangements, taken from the ‘ Argus,* was given in our issue of the 18th iust,; and after inspecting the sbiP' we heartily endorse our contemporary's opinions. It may be safely said that the W akatipu offers the best passenger accommodation of the present coasting steamers. Her principal saloon forward comprises an excellent salk d mango,- and ranges of sleeping berths, the former being a large apartment nearly square, with a double lino of diumg-tables. The bulk heads of the saloon are of birds-eye maple and rosewood, with gilt ornamentations. The sleeping cabins contain accommodatien for forty-two passengers, while the ladies’ cabin is handsomely fitted up. Her second cabin, which is aft, is equal to that of the first of many of the steamers that frequent this port. It comprises a roomy saloon, with tables amf horse-hair settees ou each side, there being sixteen sleeping berths. On the port side of the companion way is t he ladies' cabin, containing eight sleeping berths, lavatories and bath rooms being opposite, A deck-house encloses the companion way. For the use of the officers she has a large bouse amidships.
