THE LAWRENCE RAILWAY.
(From our oton Correspondent) Lawrence, September 30. The public meeting held in the Town Hall last night wa3 largely attended. The Mayor was in the chair, and all the leading residents of the district were present. The following resolutions were carried : That this meeting views with dissatisfaction t'e apathy manifested by the General Government in uot pushup forward the completion of the railway find tv.ut such delay tends to the serious loss aud inconvenience of the public. That this meeting would draw the attention ef t.io General Government to tho fact that twelve miles of foiination of the railway at the Lawrenco end of tho line have for move than six niontbs been taken over from the contractors' bauds and loft untouched. They would therefore urge th>it 'ho permanent way on the samo be proceeded with by carting the material over the Bound Hill for that purpose.
