ANOTHER PROTEST.
The following memorUl, addressed to Mr Burns, M.JLR., was circulated in the Roslyn district this afternoon : To A. J. Burns, Esq., M.H.8., representative of Eoslyn. .Sir,—We, the undersigned electors in the Eoslyn district, respectfully urge upon your consideration the extreme unde. irability of wasting time by factious opposition and talking against time. The present crisis is one of great moment to the community, and we would urge upon you to unite in any effort to preserve to us as much of our reserves and local government as can be retained under the Abolition system, which we look upon as now inevitable—but we regard it as factious in the extremo to resort to such measures as have of late occupied so much timo in the House. Without dictating, then, to you as to the precise couiee yuu should pursue, we desire to place on record this general expression of our opinions. Up to three o'clock the memorial had received upwards of sixty signatures, which include those of Messrs Driver, Tewsley, Farley, Jackson, Murphy, and other residents in the district.
