The HoMtika bar has been so long blocked that a schooner called the Maud Graham, after being eut sixtyldays with a cargo from Lyttelton, has put into Nelson short of provisions and water. It is stated that Captain Carey is likely to sueceed Captain Worsp in the command of the Taupo the latter havinsr been appointed underwriters' agent at Auckland. The s.s. Taranaki, with cargo and passengers from the Northern Ports, arrivnd at Port Chalmers at 5 p.m. yesterday. She left the Manukau shortly after noon on the 9th inst., Taranaki at 8 a.m. next day, Nelson at 11.50 a.m. on the 11th, Wellington at f P.m. on the 12th, Lyttelton at 2.15 p.m. on the 13th, and Akaroa the same evening.
