INTERCOLONIAL NEWS.
Sydney, September 6. A child was burned to death yesternight during a fire in a wooden house. The steamer Wakatipu, shortly expected from London, is advertised to leave here for New Zealand about the 16 th inst.
Melbourne, September 6.
A murder was committed yesterday at Emerald Hill. Ellen Francis stabbed Robert Davis with a shoemaker’s knife. He died in a few minutes.
