PUBLIC BATHS.
To the flrtitor Sir,—How was it the deputation -who waited on his Worship the other day to rtrgo the necessity of improved bathing accommodation for this City, overlooked the fact that the Provincial Council stt aside a reserve for the endowment of public baths, and that th« Corporation has now the control of that reserve and is reaping the advantage of revenue derivable therefrom? Among the reserves vested in the Corporation by the Dunedin Reserves Management Ordinance, 1867, is "No 9, Reserve for Public Bathsall that area in the Province of Otago, con taining by admeasurement four (4) acres three (3) roods and twenty-one (21) poles, more or less, situated in the Town of Dtmedin, being reserve set apart for publio baths, asxlelineated on the map of the said town, and as the samt is.bounded and described in the Crown grant thereof.
