September s.—Samson, p.s., 124 tons, Edie, for Oamaru. The schooner Maid of Otago took her departure yesterday afternoon for Oamaru. The Ada Biswell discharged the whole of her Dunedin portion of cargo yesterday, and will probably sail with the remainder for Wellington tomorrow. The barque Columbus commenced to discharge her cargo into lighters yesterday. The barque Frederick Bassell was removed from the stream this morning by the tog Geelong and berthed alongside the new pier to discharge her cargo of coal, 6 SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Hokitika, September 4.—Arrived, at 8 am., Albion, from Sydney. She proceeded on at 10.30 a.m. to Nelson, as the weather was too bad to allow of her being tendered. Auckland, September s.—The Auckland Steam Packet Company have placed the Llewellyn on the linn as a regular trader between Sydney and AnckMm WELLlNGTON, September6.—Sailed : Eashy,direct for Port Chalmers, at noon. It was blowing a strong N. gale when she left. Nelson. Arrived: Albion. The weather was too rough for her to communicate with the West Coast ports. She brings no telegrams or exchanges, and leaves for Wellington to-night. Bncrr, September 5, 1 p.m.—Arrived- Otago from Melbourne, via Hobart Town, after a three days ten hours* run from the latter port. Sho leaves for Fort Chalmers this evening.
