Nelson, September 4. In the Interprovincial Football Match the Nelson team were overweighted and overmatched. Altogether they played well, but Canterbury was far too strong. Canterbury’s score was 30, Kelson 0. Two goals were scored, the rest were tries and force downs.
Auckland, August 5. Mr Watt’s Ngaro, Ariel, and Ladybird colt, left in the Kawea for Canterbury races yesterday.
Blenheim, August 5. Firby, his wife, and a Mrs Bassett were drowned yesterday night crossing in a trap at Vickery’s Ford, Wairau River. Two of the bodies have been found.
