Wanganui, with cargo and passengers from the Bluff, arrived at 7.15 n,.in. yesterday. She left the Bluff at 5 p.m. on Saturday; had westerly winds along the coast to arrival.

The barque Hadda, with a cargo of coal from Newcastle, was towed up on Saturday evening by the Iron Age, and authored off Carey Bay. Sim left Newcastle on the 21st iilt., with a northerly wind, which continued until the 23rd, when it veered round to the southward. She experienced strong gales from the S.W. to S. until the 30th, when it shifted to the westward, and continued from that direction until passing the Solanders on the Ist inst.; cleared the Straits the same day; thence, until arriving off the Heads on Saturday afternoon, had strong westeily winds. FINDING OF THE CLEMATIS. At 6 a.m. bn Thursday, Messrs Hamilton and M’Lean proceeded on their third trip in search of this vessel. A course was steered N.N.E. $ E. for twenty-live miles. The course was then altered to speak the Australian Sovereign, lying becalmed two miles farther in shore. On board the barque thev said they had seen nothing of the wreck, and the Akaroa then proceeded five miles further north, but seeing nothing, steered again towards the laud, and when eight miles further to the westward picked up the wreck. About 2 p.m. it came on to blow from thp 5.W.,. and no headway was made; held on till the breeze abated. At 6 p.m. the Akaroa made progress of at least H knots per hour with the wreck in tow. The weather continued calm all night, and at 6 a.m.- the Heads were entered, and at nine both vessels were inside the breakwater. The towing was accomplished with great ease on the whole. It is fortunate the weather was not boisterous, or the wreck would have been unmanageable. It is a very good Job that the vessel has been brought in, as she is of hard wood, and any vessel coming into collision with her would sustain a very violent shock.—* Press ’ 2nd.
