In the House of Commons on the 7th inst., the Right Hon. S. Cave vindicated the results .of his mission to Egypt. Investigation led him to believe that the Khedive could meet his liabilities.
News to the 9th August state that the Turks have occupied the fortress of Zabsachan, and that the Servians are retreating. The Servians are also retreating from Siewitzka. A secord inquest on the body of Mr Bravo, supposed to have baen poisoned, has been held, and a verdict of wilful murder returned. The evidence, however, was nob sufficiently strong to fix the guilt on any person. THE WOOL SALES. August 11. Wool sales will conclude to morrow. 387,000 bales>ere catalogued, 30,000 ef which were held over. The recovery in prices ranges from 8 to 15 per cent, on the extreme fall, and is partly owing to the speculative action of the Yorkshire trade.

The intelligence it conveys of a general viae in the price of our staple product is of interest to every class of the community : London, August 11. The total quantity catalogued in this scries comprises 880.000 bales; balk sold very low, but during last fortnight the market is very firm. Prices for grease show an average riso of Id t->l|dperlb; washed fleece an average rise of ljd to 2d, and scoured an average rise of 2d per lb, compared wiili lowest rates of presfut series. Jtiso unexpected, stability donbtfal, as the general state of trade leaves much to be desired.j
