A SUGGESTION.

To the Editor.

Sir, —As it is evident the very few growlers are now somewhat pacified and. their unseemly aspersions evaporated against our indefatigable agent, Mr Adam?, would it not be proper that Mr Adams should address a meeting in some public hall ? In doing so I am confident the citizens would pass a vote of perfect confidence in him. Many persons with whom I have spoken upon the subject would very much appreciate an address from our agent on the prosperty and indigence in the Home country. The lecture would give pleasure and satisfaction to his many friends and well-wishers in the Colony. I would, therefore, suggest that Mr Adams should meet the wishes of a large number of his friends by giving an address —I am, &c, Old Identity. Dunedin, August 15.
