Sir,—How is it that the railway officials cannot keep change on the southern line of railway. 1 was at the station on th« 14th inst. and the station-master at Greytown refused to change a pound-note, giving as his reasou that he would not change a poundnote for the sake of half-a-crown, toe amount of fare from Greytown to Dunedin. Can anyone explain the reason ? All railway stations at Home are bound t-j have change, lam, &c.
