Edith Reid, ketch, 75 tons, Munroe, from Pelorus Sound. August 11.—Taiaroa, s.s., 228 tons, Peterson, for Timaru. August 12.—Southern Cross, barque, 324 tons, Been, for Hobart Town. Ariel, brigantine, 133 tons, Robinson, for the Bluff. The ketch Huon Belle, in ballast, for Gatlin’s River, put in yesterday afternoon. She left Timaru on the afternoon of the 9th, experienced light N. wind until off Capo Saunders at 6 am. yesterday, when it shifted to a strong S.W. gale, and ran back tq Port Chalmers.

The s.s. Ino, with cargo from Port Molyneux, arrived yesterday afternoon, and steamed post the port to Dunedin.

The ketch Edith Eoid, with a eargo of timber from Pelorus Sound, arrived early yesterday morning, and continued her course to Dunedir. The brig Transport was removed Irom the stream yesterday afternoon by the tug Geelong, and berthed at the i.ew pier to discharge hex cargo of timber from Newcastle. The barque West York was towed up from the powder ground yesterday afternoon by the lug Geelong, and moored alongside the railway pier to discharge. The Union Company’s steamer Beautiful Star hauled alongside the cross jetty to discharge timber. The Union Company’s steamer Taiaroa, with cargo and passengers for Timarn, sailed last evening. The ship William Davie was removed from the railway pier to the new jotty yesterday, and took en board the first of her homeward cargo, consisting oi ninety bales of wool. Tiie Vvvque Southern Cross, for Hobart Town, in ballast, wns towed to sea this afternoon by the tug Q.-eloug,
