Sydney, August 11. The Superintendent of the Cable Company at Port Darwin says it is untrue that Fenian agents cut the cable. ♦ Melbourne. The Crown has abandoned further proceedings against Messrs Stevenson. The money value of the Melbourne Cup will probably be LI,BOO. Cattell, a well known merchant, died to-day. Parliament will probably be prorogued on Thursday.
