Beautiful Star, s.s., 146 tons, Stewart, for the Bluff.

The barge Hope, with cargo from Waikouaiti, arrive. this forenoon.

The steamers Beautifnl Star, for the Bluff, and Taiaroa, for Timaru, sailed last night. The ketch Aura arrived from Oamaru yesterday afternoon, and continued her course to Dunedin with a fresh N.E. breeze.

The stem-wheel steamer Balclutha was hauled into Murray's floating dock yesterday afternoon. The s.s. Wanganui, witn carjo and passengers fi cm the Bluff, arrived at 10 p.m. yesterday. After coaling at the hulk Esk, she steamed up to D. uedin.

Messrs M'Meckan, Blackwood's s.s. Albion, with thirty-four passengers and 139 tons of cargo for this port, arrived from Melbourne, via the Bluff, at 6.80 this morning. She left Melbourne at 2 p.m. on the 3rd, and cleared the Heads at 5 p.m. ; experienced light wiudsand calms, with occasional she wers,until the afternoon of the 7th, when she encountered a northerly gale, accompanied with heavy sea and thick weather, uutil making the land; arrived at the Bluff at 3 p.m. the Bth. Passed the s.s. Arawata at 5.40 p.m. on the 4t i, and the s.s. Hingarooum at 1.30 p.m. on the Bth, both bound for Melbourne, Discharged cargo and left the Bluff at 6 p.m. on the Bth.
