Mr Skene reports that all work out of doors is at a complete standstill, owing to the savere weather. Prospects are srood for ploughmen, couples, and all farm people. Female servants are in great demand, but experienced girls are scarce. The building trade is stopped. Clerks and shopmen are little needed—business houses do not increase their assistants at this season.
