THE HOSPITAL CLOCK.
To the Editor, Sir, — In answer to “Fourteen years resident in Hanover street,” I may say that, ic he had been for the last twelve months without washing, I am under the impression that; his neighbors would send him, like the Hospital Clock, to undergo a thorough overhaul and cleaning. Before your correspondent rushes again into print, I would suggest that he should inquire the why and wherefore, and not call respectable tradesmen presumptuous or impertinent. If he would call at Mr Sinclair s shop no doubt that gentleman would kindly show him the clock all in pieces, under repair. I trust that this explanation will suffice.—Yours, Ac., Impertinent Presumption. Dunedin, July 31.
