THE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH.

To the Editor. Sir, —The paragraph in Friday evening's issue referring to the meeting of the members of the Congregational Church to take into consideration the Evangelical standing of the Church, would lead your readers to infer that the resolution passed was based upon an appreciation of Dr Roseby's broad teaching. This was not the case. The resolution was based upon a confession of faith made by Dr Roseby, which cpve satisfactory evidence of his belief in the Gospel as taught and preached by the Apestles. I take the liberty of asking your insertion of this letter, as there have been various remarks made upon the paragraph in question.—l am, &c, A Member. Dunedin, July 25.
