I for one am_an did breeder of poultry, and 1 have spared'-ho cxpbnde to obtain the best possible'breeds both, from the Old Country, Victoria, Tasmania-; Sydney, r and other places likely to obtain them. !j I now find after many years’ trouble breeding that.the present committee now take a ’standard for guide quite, the reverse of Tegetmeier without, giving- duo -notice' of •o doing, consequently putting it out of the power.of thdse bleeding:as .before to exhjbit this year at the 'forthcoming exhibition. I am not the Only one ’in the same position, knowing many others who'have gone to considerable expense to improve thbir stock who are also, thrown out, and not from any faultfof thetr' own but from the .committee who have ohoseh a standard of excellence fhis year quite contrary to Tegetmeier. lam of opinion that no breeder could alter this Standard at least under three or. four years, which' ■ the, present committee of breeders must be aware of.—l am, &c., - J : ';■A Breeder.
