July 21.—Isabella, ketch, 51 tons, Purdie, from Gatlin’s River. Franklin Belle, ketch, 38 tons, Forman, from Shag Point. Wanganui, s.s., 179 tons, Fraser, from the Bluff. Passengers: Mrs Bain, Messrs Orr, Kerr, Robinson, Mepsten, Gillies, Hunt, Dixon, Bailee; and four in tbe steerage, SAILKT). July 20.—Pioneer, schooner, 25 tons, Mathe on, for Oamaru. Crest of the Wave, schooner, 58 tons, M’Lean, for Kapler. July 21.—Horn, ship, 1,104 tons, Bradley, for Wellington. Samson, p.s., 134 tons, Bdio, for Oamaru. The ship Horsa, with part of original cargo from London, took her departure for Wellington this forenoon with a light S.W. breeze. The Union Company's s.s. Maori, from Timaru via Oamaru, arrived at Port Chalmers at 5.30 p.m yesterday. Messrs Houghton's and Go’s a.s. Wanganui, with cargo and passengers from the Bluff, arrived at 7.30 this morning. LAUNCH OP THE WAITAKI. 1 Mitchell’s Maritime Register' of the 16th May has the following;—On ihe 13th lust. Merars Wingate and Co. launched a screw steamer named the Waitaki for the New Zealand coast trade, built to the order Mr of John Darling, 400 tons 8.M., compound surface-condensing engines of 90 h.p. nominal, class A 100 at Lloyd’s. The ceremony of naming the vessel was performed by Mias Douglas, a native of New Zealand. This steamer was built to the order of the Oamaru and Dunedin Steam Company, under the inspection of vfr John Darling, the resident engineer at Glasgow for the Union Company. She mil take up the trade at present performed by the Samson, and will be under the management of Mr James Mills.
