OTAGO HARBOR BOARD.
The fortnightly meeting of the Harbor Board was hold to-day ; present—Messrs Beeves (in the chair), Turnbull, M'Kinnon, Davie, Tewaley, M'Neil, and Bitcbie. Some discussion took place as to the legality’of the minutes of the last meeting of the Board, when only four members were present, while it took five to form a quorum. It was agreed to confirm the minutes excepting as regards that part dealing with new wharves. The Chairman mentioned that an invitation had been received from the captain of the Taupo to go on board the steamer that afternoon on the occa* sion of her first berthing alongside the Rattray start et Wharf. The Board decided to proceed with their business, but instructed the secretary to reply, thanking Captain Wheeler for his tend invitation and regretting their inability to accept the same.
