PARLIAMENT.
[By TBLEaaAPH.]
ABOUT THE LOBBIES. (From our Special Correspondent.) WKLUNaTON, July 4. An Opposition caucus, convened by Sir George Grey, was held at eleven o'clock yesterday. Between twenty and thirty members attended, but this included several Auckland representatives 'inclined to support the Government. The conclusion arrived at was that they should offer the Government every facility, and practically do nothing in the way of opposition until it is seen what the local Government Bill is. One section was disposed to oppose the granting of supplies, but the impolicy of -this and the inconvenience likely to be caused to contractors was shown so .strongly that the idea was abandoned.
I believe I am correct in saying that Mr Macandrew will bring down Separation resolutions.
