HARBOR BOARD.

At the special meeting of the Harbor Board this afternoon there were present —His Honor the Deputy-Superintendent (in the chair), Messrs Beeves, Da/ie, Eitchie, M'Kinnon, and Tewsley. Mr Simpson's plans of the proposed steam barges were laid on the table.

Aftor some discussion it was resolved, on the motion of Mr M'Kinnon, secondfji by Mr Beeves—"That four steam barges be bole according to Mr Simpson's plans, with the necessary tracks for the fall working of the same. That tenders be called for the barges alternately to be of iron or timber." The wharveß question was deferred for consideration at a future meeting of the Board. >
