VITAL STATISTICS.

The vital statistics of Dunedin for the month ju: t ended are:—Births, 141; deaths, 46; marriages, 37. There were registered for the six months endin/ June 30—919 births, 315 deaths,'and 230 marriages.

The following vital statistics for the quarter ending June 30 have been supplied to us by Mr HensoD, Registrar for the Port Chalmers district:—The births numbered 44, viz., 16 male-; and 28females: and deaths 7, viz., 4 males and 3 females, or 5 adults and 2 children. • Of marriages, there were 4, 3of thein being religious and 1 civil. For the first quarter of the year there were 79 births, 11 deaths, nd 5 marriages; aud for the corresponding halfyear of 1875 the returns stood thus: Births, 57; deaths, 12; marriages, 19.
